MY STORY
My name is Kayla Dearman and I am from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I recently graduated in December, 2023 from Louisiana State University, receiving my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Art. First and foremost - I love telling stories. I'm often inspired by experiences from my own life and try to weave these emotions intricately into the stories I tell. Art and storytelling have shaped me into the person I am today. I love 2D & stop-motion animation, graphic design, photography, painting, and so much more. Above all - creativity is my passion.

MY MISSION
I hope to one day join an animation studio that values inclusion and diversity as much as I do. My passions lie in narrative design, storyboarding, visual development, & concept art. I love being a part of the storytelling process and bringing those narratives to life visually. I hope to one day direct my own animated films with a diverse team of equally committed, enthusiastic, & passionate professionals. I hope to tell stories related to my unique life experiences in a professional studio setting.
